Well I was just speaking to someone from the club about it and it will be held around the Marysville area (he said it's no secret now anyway) the actual tracks I don't know.
Tyhe rumour is the modified section will be harder than last year thats all I know.

Entrants notified- Feb 8th.
Each vehicle is scrutinised before the event and any vehicle found to be unroadworthy or unsafe will not be allowed to participate (whatever that means).
All vehicles must be mechanically sound, registered and in a roadworthy condition.
A list of mandatory recovery equipment will be provided in due course.
Entries closed Jan 17th but any remaining places are balloted from the remaining entries (10 Paj Club, 25 from other affiliated clubs-maximum 5 per club).
There is no driver's briefing night.
Checkpoint briefing around March 11th TBA.
Special arrangements will be made to purchase the suggested maps.

do you know how closely they will go over the trucks ? ie roadworthy test or a quick look over to check everything is right like seat belts lights etc ?
Reason i am asking is this is my first event wondering what to expect

Last year they just checked general road worthy items, lights, belts, battery secure, ect,ect.

Not sure if TYRED (a.k.a. UTERIS) is accepted but they banked the cheque - and it cleared - how'd they do that? Will be testing new control arms, panard rods, etc (courtesy Cheezy and Hayden) in preparation for OBC. Have come 2nd and 3rd in last 2 years in a rangie. Had to flick the rangie if I am to take it out.

I'm trying to get a checkpoint for our club - I emailed for some info but am still waiting...

Should be a blast doing that - 24 hourds around a fire whacking stickers on cars as they blast past.....

No I'm farking not, no front locker and I don't think it's not gonna happen in time.........................
Done everything else though just some little bits to go.
Made up a tray for my navi's laptop so it don't get trashed..................
The rain will make it very interesting indeed.........................

There's been a bit up there I'm told but who knows how the tracks will be on saturday. There are some steep arsed tracks up around Big River so if their wet I think there will be a lot of winching going on.........................
