Flares

Post by bomboy_80 »

Anyone tried the Bushranger or TJM rubber flares?

Any good?

Looking for a good option to cover my rubber without going to fibreglass

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

I have the bushrangers and they are fine, hold shape due to the wire insert and do what they are meant to do.

couple of threads on this already, have a search and see if you can find anything.

Try Centry foam & Rubber on the gold coast.
I Got the largest width (not sure how wide but bigger than flexi flares) they have three sizes, I did all four arches for about $90 + wire that i already had.
In Ashmore Next to the new super cheap. :)

Just of note. I was wandering around Clarks Rubber the other day and noticed they have the same style Rubber for Flares in rolls. Don't know what the cost of it was though. Was in two sizes, the smaller didn't have any provision for a wire insert like the Bushranger ones, but the Larger size did.

think the clark rubber larger one was around $15/m when i was lookin at it... 5m or so would do most rigs i think... identical to the expensive stuff that 4x4 shops sell

if ya not tooooo worried 'bout apperance, and ya got something flat horizontal u can screw into, bunnings garden edging is the go.. $25 for 6m

I just installed TJM ones on my 80 and I'm disappointed - they were a (*U&%*(&^$*&^%# to fit, the cut edges that sit against the body weren't even close in places and it took a long time to get a satisfactory result. also they're not wide enough to fully cover my 315/75's on -28mm offset rims, doh - got about 10mm sticking out each side. so looks like I'm off to clark rubber for some extra to cover the nakedness... not happy jan.

truck looks pretty now though.
