berazafi wrote:$60,000 dollars should get you one install, i would even do it for you
i think he was pulling your leg there, what do you actually want, juast a bare chassis? or do you want a rolling chassis? you will be able to pick up a complete GQ for 10g's easy, we need more info on what you require

i dont kno wat type, i emailed the hammer guys and they just said a GU/GQ chassis so i assume thats just a bare one

Nah, whatcha want there is a complete LWB GQ or GU.
GU would be better but is gonna cost heaps and heaps more. A LWB GQ with a somewhat rooted body could be gotten as cheaply as $6000 or so I'd say.
However since a lot of mechanical parts get reused when building the Hammer, you might be better to spend a bit more say up to $10k.
Don't underestimate the magnitude of building one of these though.
Starting and then finding it too hard and too expensive to finish is not unheard of.
Better off just driving the GQ in my opinion, but some people think Hammers look really good.

What are the kits based on:
These all steel Hummer Replica kits are easy to convert to your early MQ/GQ/GU Nissan Patrol 7 seater, long wheel base wagons. Simply throw away your rusty Patrol body, line up the predrilled holes and bolt up the Hammer body kit to your chassis. Use all the mechanicals plus steering column, pedals, speedo pod, sunvisors, seats and wiring loom from your Nissan Patrol donor vehicle.
this will help you decide

i was expectin it 2 be around $6000-$12000
is it hard to build because they said it would be easy?
the whole car pretty much ey, well thats wat i get 4 not readin the fine print

I am pretty sure you have to use a LWB. Besides it would be a tragic waste of a SWB to turn it into a hammer, when you could do this much more cheaply:
Or maybe it's a matter of taste. But anyway the above "sports" gq is an eight grand drive in, drive out conversion, fully engineered and legal right here in Qld. I have to say I like 'em.
