Windscreen

Post by Shorty40 »

Anyone have any tips for the removal and replacing of a windscreen :?:

Its for my 40 series.

I have a complete windscreen surround with the new glass. So I have to remove this one first (hopefully in 1 piece  ). Then put it into my rig.

Any tips or hints ? Anything I should avoid ? Or am I better to go to Windscreens O'Brien or the like ?

Thanks

Dan

You want the glass intact - use a stanley knife and cut away the rubber on the old rig.. and once all cut out.. slowly give it a push to see which end gives way.. then work from there.

then give windscreens obrien a call and get em to put the glass on the new rig. with new rubbers and seals??

Just an idea..

Pretty much what i did to my car..

If careful and done properly, placing the new one over the old one can look cool and just use masking tape to hold the sides down....
When I was ten, my mother put this painting of a chihuahua with big scary eyes up in my bedroom. I begged her to take it down.

She said she couldn't....or the devil clown under my bed would kill her....
