Stock Sierra Suspension
I just had a question from a Vehicle Engineer (VASS) about my car.
He wanted to know how much more suspension lift my car had over a standard sierra.
Apparently the rules in Victoria are that you can lift the car by no more than one third of the original suspension lift of the car before you need to get the car engineered.
Does anyone know what suspension a lift Stock Sierra had? i.e. perhaps what was the distance from the bump stop to the springs at ride height? (it think that is how it is determined?)...

If it's not too much hassle - perhaps you could jack the car up a tad so that the shackle is verticle-ish (or the springs are at least flat rather than inverted) - that would kind of simulate the springs when they were new i reckon.

Well the front is:
170mm from the top of the spring to the end point of the rubber bump stop.
The rear
230mm from the top of the spring to the metal plate that limits the bump stop.
Also I measured the distance between the end of the bump stop and where it contacts. The front was 90mm and the rear 110mm

Well they have been reset before but they are still the the stoch springs. They were reset over a year ago so I would assume they have sagged.
