Well I'll be .....

Post by Ian Sharpe »

I was waiting at the lights tonight when alongside pulls a DID Exceed.

I gunned it off the mark & the Exceed just said goodbye mate & disappeared into the horizon. Man that thing went.

Funny though when I test drove one last year I wasnt that impressed & actualy though it seemed sluggish compared to my 3.5lDOHC.

I am impressed to say the leat.

Ian, I said to you a while ago I test drove a 3.2 GDI 5sp at a club meeting and it would have blown my 3.0 V6 5sp from start to finish. I thought is was as quick as a 3.5 V6 (seat of the pants feel) at the time.
I remember you saying that and thought it was strange because this one I drove was very impressive.

Yeah Frank, perhaps the one I test drove wasnt run in or maybe stuck in first gear.

I was impressed last night but still sad to say I dont like the look of them.

Now a DID transplant into an NL Exceed, that would be nice!!!

cheers

Grant,

yeah supercharger would be great, seriously looked at that a while back but really couldnt find anyone willing to take it on & insurance was an issue as well.

also the fact that i wanted to retain dual fuel didnt help, but now I have got rid of the lpg maybe... but then again my motor is geting a bit long in the tooth now with 260k on it.

I guess if i keep it I'll be looking at a performance rebuild.

hmmm. bugger. My insurance co is ok with a blower, premium increases by $200. I only have 90K on the clock so I dont have the same issues you have...

I might start a new post.
