Hi all,
I was in contact with some people in Austria and Germany and found out the following:
1. Because Daihatsu is a subsidary of Toyota it is probably possible that the Feroza uses Toyota diffs.
2. This is a table of all usually Toyota diffs:

some translations for you (for the diagramm):
Tellerrad = ring
Triebling = pinion
Tellerraddurchmesser = diameter of ring
Differential Uebersetzung = diff ratio / undergear ratio
MIT = with
OHNE = without
Anzahl Satelitenräder = number of spidergears
There are some lines with "5.286" which could be the Feroza Ring&Pinion?
3. Part numbers
If all part numbers of the diff are known it will be no problem to compare and match daihatsu part numbers with toyota part numbers.
so far so good/bad...

Think I'll stick 2 my latest idea and see if my mate has still got an LSD and then later on get traction control fitted front and back

I found out the following:
There are a lot of similarities between Toyota-Diffs and Daihatsu-Diffs:
There are Ring&Pinion avaliable from Toyota which may fit into the Feroza (which means that lockers will be also avaliable ):
Feroza:
Ring diameter front = 170mm (6,7") with 37 teeth
Ring diameter rear = 180mm (7,1") with 37 teeth
Gearing: 5.285
So we have to find out which Toyota-Modell has the following axle-code (should be located on a plate in the engine-bay of all Toyotas):
XXX.XXXX.T164.XXXX (6,7" and 4 spider-gears)
XXX.XXXX.T165.XXXX (6,7" and LSD)
XXX.XXXX.T894.XXXX (6,7" and 4 spider-gears)
XXX.XXXX.T895.XXXX (6,7" and LSD)
XXX.XXXX.E164.XXXX (7,1" and 4 spider-gears)
XXX.XXXX.E165.XXXX (7,1" and LSD)

Rear axle is semi-floating type. 722mm for left wheel, 776mm for right wheel.
Rear Diff Info :
Final Reducation gear ratio : 5.285
Differential Ring Gear :
- Number of Teeth 37
- Outer diameter 185mm
- Gear type : Hypoid gear
Final reduction gear :
- Number of Teeth 7
- Outer diameter 57mm
- Gear type : Hypoid gear
Differential side gear:
- Number of Teeth 14
- Number of inner spline teeth 27
Number of differential pinion teeth : 10
Pinion shaft outer diameter : Ø18mm (that's an omega for some reason..)
Maybe this info will help?? Rear has a removable 3rd member just like a yota....possibilities??

I looked into the repair-manual and this says: outer diameter 180 instead of 185 ... but the rest is the same as you wrote.
but what I'm looking for ist the axle itself. axle diameter and number of axle teeth!
...because for the use of different couplers for automatic lockers.
variant 1: find identically constructed couplers which will fit
varinat 2: make suitable couplers (if axle diameter and number of teeth are the same) using a "centre lathe" to fit the overall diameter of the coupler (don't know if this is correct name in english.. what i mean is this: http://www.mfsg.de/bilder/drehmaschine.jpg)

Looks like a metal lathe to me (same as my father inlaw has )
