Hi Guys,
Been doing some reading on the DPI WA Site about legal rim and tyre sizes and still a little confused.
In WA it states that you can not increase the width past 7 inches, unless it came as standard for the car in question. It also states that you cannot increase the diameter of the rim past the manufacturers spec. So its talking about rim size, not tyre size.
As far as I can see, GQ's came with two available rim sizes.
1) Sunraiser Rims which were 15x7
2) Ti Alloys which were 16x8
Cannot find any info on the tyres that came with these rims, but in WA it seems they are only concerned about rims and not tyres.
I currently have 31x10.5R15's on rims which im not sure are 7 or 8 wide.
Does anyone know if I am legally allowed to use the 8's in the 15 inch diameter? Or should I change to 16 inch rims??
Basically I want to know, would it be legal for me to put 33x12.5R15's on 15 inch rims, as long as they are within the guard?
It does not seem to mention about changing the overall diameter of the wheel?
Can anyone shed some light on this, I mean people must be driving these cars on the road with 33's

The 7's came with 31x10.5's
the 16's I dont think they are 8's though.. might be wrong, havent really looked close at them.
Its all one of them dodgey areas, since they came in a 15x7 You might be limited to that size, what about a mod plate, or getting it re-engineered for wider rims, is that an option?

Possibly if I do decide to go ahead with bigger tyres (need a lift first as well). Just wanted to know for a mate as well.
So for all people running 33's on 8 inch rims, they are either illegal, or have engineering certificates??
