Hi All
I have a 413 SWB at the moment with 31s 2 inch springs and rockhopper kit and a lockrite.
Getting a long wheelbase here in NZ is not that easy so whats the thoughts on building a 4 door Vit,cutting to a double or extra cab(easy to get to recovery gear on tray back or well side)adding a wide track diff up front.
I wont the advantage of the extra lenght for stability and carrying capacity.
The only major change would be the front diff(reliability)the Vit already has power steering/1600 motor etc.
Opinions
Cheers Simon

i'd use toyota hilux axles over the zuk stuff, cause you'll end up breaking the wide track front. hiace centres fit the axles and give ya a diff ratio of 5.29 compared to 5.12 standard.
with a sas ya should be able to get 35's under it easy, i've got 32's on mine with just a 2in suspension and 2in bodylift
depends what sorta comp work ya wanna do, but the rockhopper only gives a low range reduction, and if ya running anything bigger than 31's you'll really want some sort of high range reduction as well. you'll get a little bit of this from the diffs, but swapping in a rockhoppered sierra box could be the go.

Rockhopper Series 1
Gives 12% reduction H/Range, 83% reduction L/Range
Rockhopper Series 3
Gives 22% reduction H/Range, 170% reduction L/Range
Series 3 compensates for 33" tyres in high range.
