I have checked the drive line and it is not that.It just goes clunk
going around a corner letting the clutch out.Any ideas???
Its your body mount rubbers. Been there done that to about 4 patrols now. About $480 for a set for a LWB.
Either than or the floor pan is cracked where the firewall and floor meet.
but I'll go with the Bodymount rubbers worn away and its only the metal shaft left on metal body work.

I did mine on the weekend and there was 10mm of height difference between the old and new. Even though the bolts were tight, there was not enough clamp in them to keep the body from moving around.

Also check out the bolts in the radius arms to front diff for tightness, when going around a corner the suspension will cycle, putting twist in the front diff (against the bushes) and if loose, the bolts will make an audible 'clunk' when going around the corner. Test it by driving up a safe stretch of road, and swerve side to side several times, it will clunk at each direction change if these bolts are loose.
Built, not bought.

There are a couple of body mounts available. From memory the very front set were like $31 plus GST and the rest were something like $35 plus GST. There are 8 on a shortie (that I have seen), so about $350 all up.
Part numbers . . . I could get them if I still have the plastic bags that the mounts came in. I'll check.

Yeah . . . it is an easy job. Took me a couple of hours on my own! Its just one of those unsexy jobs that doesn't make the truck any more capable. It does feel a lot better to drive now tho. Not so many of those funky "bump" noises.
