Hi guys i have a 99 jeep cherokee. Whan u take off hard from a standing start, or when taking off around a corner, I have a clunking from the rear diff.
I have sent it back to jepp numerous times, the last time they changed the lsd clutches. Even though its not as bad it still does it.
Anyone else have this problem?
cheers

rear diff noise

I wager you need to lubricate the output splines from teh transfer case.
Remove the rear driveshaft, clean & grease the output shaft splines & refit rear driveshaft...simple job - should take 15minutes whilst sipping your favourate beer....
Also check the bushes etc mentioned above - but I'll still wager that this is the problem
