What should I pay for this?

Hey guys,

I am still looking for my hilux. There is this one

"HILUX 1981, 4 spd manual, 4WD, 2L petrol, met green, checker plate tray, b/bar, spot lights, CD, velour interior, lift kit, 6 mths regn, vgc $5500 ono"

It has 33" yokahama diggers, the lift is a "suspension kit" he says.

Apparently just gone over the pits, as he bought it with him from over east.

So what do you reckon this is worth???

sounds a little expesnive, in QLD that thing would go for maybe $2k :armsup:

i agree with bj!!!! what kinda of condition is it in??? (rust, etc..) i would try and talk to the guy down!!! reason it is over priced is it is a 1981 model :!:

there is no way a 1st gen hilux like that would be worth 5000$ now

i would say it is worth 2K.

maybe 2500 at best.

Those tyrees are dodgy really?

I was prepared to pay $2500 I reckon, because it already had decent tyres? But they are not good??

there is nothing wrong with the tyres, they will do for road work and abit of wheeling, my tyres are going bald and they are still good :armsup:

5500 is too much. I paid $700 4 mine and then got better tyres. Its not perfect but it goes well

well i sorta disagre i have been looking for one for a while and the 1500 to 2k ones i have looked at were rusty and wouldnt pass a rwc i dont think this one would be worth 5 but probly 3500 if it is in nice condition
