Apart from the hinted things in the entrants pack, just have your rig in top running order and 100% reliable, things like pens and paper handy, head torch is handy, all your tools and parts within easy reach but well secured, a place to put your lunch and drinks (you will be out there all day and night) a sense of humour (can get a bit frustrating at times - but that's part of the comp) and a cool head to know when to be a chief or an indian...

Are you coming out there?
I hope that "Chief or Indian" isn't a subtle hint Do you know something Do we have to dress up like silly fooligans
no no no don't read into my post, I don't know any inside info on the comp, we are competing this year as well (same as last year) so was just passing on some general info on the challenge, things we found handy. Chief and indians - meaning that in some stages, there will be people that are better in a leading role, and the rest are better at doing the work. This will change throughout the challenge, and a cool head will mean that you will be able to make the best decisions under pressure.
Oh, and a water pistol/super soaker is really good to keep the fun level up, but DO NOT wet the scorers/officials.

Then why bother taking one:D
Disclaimer: Anyone that takes this idea with them to Cruiser' for Short Couse with the intention of squirting the officials will mysteriously have a huge DNF if they wet me.

If my officials get wet, you'll be wishing a DNF is all you'll get!!!
Super Soaker packed and ready for both comps.. DNF's don't scare me as I'm quite capable of doing that myself.. and as for Marshys threat, you gotta catch me first

Oh, jeez I'm a b*stard, aren't I????
Guess we'll have to wait till the end then.. wouldn't want to lose my $20 ..and if we wait till presentations, maybe a gatorade drum full of icy water would be more appropriate

It's my partner who says it (really he's just jealous cos he drives a Jeep, you know what I'm sayin) It's A Jeep Thing. He's forgiven cos he's buying a zuk to build up in the future.
(See,he knows zuks are better)
