In regards to the Wise's Road event - the organisers of that event didn't contact council with regards to proper permits and such, also they upset EPA with regards to creeks being contaminated and mud being carried onto the roads, so chances are the next people interested in holding an event there may have difficulties getting approval from council

just so you know this will be the last gymkhana put on by sunshine coast club, it is getting too hard to get insurance and council permits to run the event, and the property at yandina will no longer be available for us to use after this year.
this gymkhana nearly didnt go ahead due to local council not wanting to issue a permit.

I heard they were having trouble getting it organised with insurance.
They had to fence the dams or get a lifeguard for each one or something didn't they?

It'd be good if they had the one at Wises farm again, that was a hell day!!

yeah one council officer said we would need to fence the dam and back creek, and also we would need concrete barriers and wire mesh fence, like wat they use at indy, between track and spectators. but then we had another council inspecter come out and he just said it would be fine as is, so we got the permit

And what was the problem with Green Park - they didn't want u to have it there anymore, or the cost of getting back to original condition afterwards?

Just out of interest thats all.

the gymkhana corse isnt real deficult, a suburu can make it through.

you can nominate for whatever events you want, nom fee is $5/driver per event or $20/driver for all events.

quits race is an oval track with pegs around it, there are 4 or 5 pegs around the corse with quits on them, u drive round the track stop at each and your navi collects the quits, then u do another lap and put all the quits back, i think thats how it goes anyway.

not to sure on the tinny race, but basically you have four cars lined up beside each other in four lanes, the cars race to the other end of the track (straight line) grab a can off the peg at the end and reverse back to start then do that again and put the tinny back. something like that anyway.

there is also entertainment both nights and a big bonfire on sunday nite, there is usually a lot of hangovers on monday morning :D

no antt that wont do. you have to get in contact with your current 3rd party insurer, the one you got with your rego, tell them where the event is and the dates and they give you the extension, if its suncorp i think it free.

i will be there racing, not in the jeep though......................so what will i be racing??? hmmmm ..............lets just say its quick!!

I've seen a video from last year's and there is more than just 1 mud hole + 1 very muddy/greasy looking corner with a few large holes in it  .In fact, pretty much the whole track looks like it's covered in mud.(extreme track) :D
Even has a Pajero flipping onto it's roof while coming into that nice corner. It's going to be awesome to drive. :P
Only 9 days til it's on.

the extreme has one deepish mud hole, other then that it is just slippery greasy shit, also depends how much it rains before the event.

i would recomend at least one locker for extreme and mud tyres.

i did it last year on 32"mtr's and rear locker

You can get semi-liquid mud up into your air intake? Or do you mean water? :D

Nothing $80 at Carlovers won't fix :D
