My New Rig

Post by BT1-PATROL »

Hey,

I bought my new Patrol, its a Yellow MK SWB Turbo Diesel, its only got 2" spring. But im hoping to get some more done soon!. Im getting it on the weekend so ill get some pics up!

Anyone out here from the Western Suburbs of Vic? eg. Bacchus Marsh & Gisborne. We go down to Wombat state forest a bit and wounldn't mind some more people coming down!

Im gonna be upgrading to 35" soon, but i dont want a really wide tyre i want to run a 10.5" max, i know Simex make these, but anyone other brand? and cheaper?

Cheers

Interco Boggers come in a 33x10.5 & 36x10.5 at least in the USA, it is a new size though. Interco LTB's also come in 34x10.5 and I think a 35x10.5. I think in both 16" & 15" rims....would have to check to know for sure. We don't have Simex ET's here...

Yeh the JT2's are looking good, but they want $299 a tyre...its not too bad, but im gonna be pretty upset if i hack them up on my first 4wd trip.

My freinds wants to get some too so thats 12 tyres so far, anymore people?....maybe i can organise a group buy with Widetread or some other shop??

Dude,
I reckon you'd be very unlucky to hack em (JT2's) on any trip. Ive used/abused mine heaps without any dramas. They're "tuff as" tyres specially the sidewalls. Get some and see for yourself. They're my choice ;) ;)

i am running 34x11.5 JTs  and they are really good on my shorty GQ and run well. Also has a tough sidewall. But not to be used as a daily driver.

Slightly off topic..but mentioned by you above ...how much longer is Wombat state forest going to be available for wheeling with all the hype from the recent meetings up there?
