Yandina Carnage Report

Post by Rainbow Warrior »

Just finnished washing the car from Sunshine Coast Club Gymkana at Yandina.

Carnage score is

Smashed plastic water drum and non working fuel guage from the quoits race.
Dented passenger sill (stock Patrol on Extreme course not entirely sane decision)
Ripped off number plate holder and flicking temperature guage from Gymkana

Didn't win anything, had a ball, and I'd just like to say

PETROL ROCKS! :D

Roughly 4 rollovers, multiple axles written off by jumping and a Subaru bent like a banana after wooing the crowd with about 10 feet of air, 2 grill to tree encounters. No injuries.

Got to get the pictures out of works camera tomorrow to post.

I didn't even get to race, because Suncorp made a typo on my ctp extension letter, saying they were aware they vehicle would be used between the 12th of june 20004 & 1 June 2004, therefore culdn't race on the days I was actually there!! So therefore have no winnings or carnage to report.

I had an awesome weekend,I came 2nd place in the Extreme Course.
The only damage:
snapped speedo cable
vehicle idling at 6000 rpm when I finished the Gymkhana course on Sat Morning. :?

The Zukes Of Hazard both went home smiling (tires on same angle as V8 supercars) after crowd pleaser event.

Bugger

If it had been the other way around the year 20004 is a long time for a 3rd party extension.

The standard diesels had a bit more suspension than my ancient factory shocks. :)

And who was in my passenger seat pining for their petrol engine back by the first turn in the gymkana? :D

Considering that this is about the 15th year that Chad & I have been competing & have never had any probs b4, can't help a bit of domestic blindness. And it happened to quite a few others that weekend.

The gymkhana shoot out was a 1-2 finish for brewskibilt suzukis!
