gq duel transfer, question about hilux driveshafts

Post by bru21 »

i have nearly completed my gq duel transfer conversion. the crossmember hits the front shaft big time (runs through it) i was going to make a new crossmember from above, but thought today that a two shaft setup might be better, with the bearing on the crossmember. apparantly hilux's have two shaft rears. what are they worth. does anyone have one, in qld better. are the bolt patterns even close?

cheers

bru.

When doing a hilux dual conversion it is advised that you get rid of the two part shaft and go to single. Thinks it to do with vibration??

If you can't get a new x-member made up take a chunk out of it. Thats what is suggested for hilux set ups.

Just go the hi-crossmember. EZ and out of the way.
NOW ABLE TOO SAY WHAT I WANT WITHOUT FEAR OF LOOSING SALES.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

is that this one (in the pic) ??
i have been trying to work out what you have this bolted to, do you tie in to the case bolts? or does the adaptor have a mounting pattern machined into it or something??
