Ok I have found out that the LT77 is the 5speed with the reverse next to first on the shifter......... so thats the one in the 88 deisel i have here
My neighbour has the older 4spd and I told him I would find out anything/as much abotu this 5 speed etc etc b4 I recomend it to him.
So guys whats the benefits of this 5 speed over the older 4spd ? Would you guys reccomend the swap and also keep in mind its not a offroad rangie.
I am assuming its obviouse to go with the swap but I wanna make sure.
Cheers
Anthony

NONE,
the 4 speed is far stronger than either 5 speed.
LT77 crap. Ok in 3.5.
R380 is the best 5 speed rover used.

You also need a rare Bellhousing for the deisel LT77 to mate it to a V8 due to the input shaft length being different.
