Brake upgrade for GQ?

Post by Deano »

Just trying to pre-empt the RTA for my upcoming mods.

What sort of brake upgrade can you do to a GQ if;

1- I keep to a 15" rim
or
2- Go to a 16" or 17" rim

Swap from GU? Something else? I've had a look on the net for upgrade kits and nothing so far.

I have disc's all round ATM

Cheers,
Deano

I run the slotted DBA replacements. Passed engineers brake test with ease.
You need to use old pads to bed in though.

can you explain why you would need to bed the brakes in using old pads?

Brake disks to work well need a layer of bonded broken in pad to increase the coefficient of friction.
