Either that or it's the good old uni's saying hello before going pop!! Especially with 7" of lift!! :D

Or your car getting grumpy cause it now wants to lay over and have a sleep on the first track with more than 15 degrees side angle...

while i was doing a SOA on my cruiser i took off the muffler for a bit of fun and trust me, the noise will come back, but so will the coppers :D

Or just go the wreckers and find a pissy little one. My one is off a FJ40 and sounds perfect, not to loud and not to soft. ;)

I own a GQ shorty...yeah a nissan...ne wayz

I have it lifted 4", the thing growled....I had to go DC tailshaft and adjust my pinion angle....That growling noise is the sound of Sh*t breaking apparently, and is the sound of your Uni's speeding up and slowing down at different times to each other...or so I understand

Me thinks your pinion angle at both ends may need some lovin' and adjustin'. Your pinion angle and transfercase output need to be parallel for no growlies.

Do something though quick...or breaky breaky

With 4" on the 'ol 80 I get a similar feel, like i'm running flat muddies on the road. Add 2" this weekend and I'll see if it's gotten worse.
I see Snake now make Mogs joint adj. rear trailing arms, is this the sort of thing we're looking at to make the adjustment? And get a little extra flex.

The noise is from having to much angle in your drive shaft. To fix it you will need to adjust your pinion angle and if that doesn't fix it you may also need a double cardin joint on the top of your driveshaft.

To check you drives shaft angle just have a look at the differance between were your pinion is point in compared to the actual shaft(the straighter the better). Universal joints are not designed to compensate for large angles (15+deg), and as the angle increases so do there inefficientcies. These inefficientcies come out as vibrations.
