Fitting New Hubs

Post by bsteel »

G'day Everyone,

I was just wondering if someone could shead a little bit of light on how to install hubs onto an 1988 ln61 4runner. i currently have auto locking hubs and i having a bit of problems with them unlocking properly so i thinking of install manual hubs.

Also when people refer to free wheeling hubs does that mean manual hubs?

Get some manual freewheeling hubs off any IFS Hilux or 4Runner and bolt em on. Remember they look the same as all Toyota F/W hubs but the inner spline is unique to the IFS axles.

To replace the hubs, is it just the thing that sticks out from the front wheels that needs to be replaced and u only need to take that off and replace it with other one.
