Will give the mud a miss... just couldnt be arsed cleaning it. Too me 18 hours to clean the Feroza at our last escapade and I still had mud pouring ut of the mirrors 8 months later. Besides its a lot easier t pull out a fez out of the mud than a 2.2 tonne Disco... call me a girl... i dont care...

your a girl........

only kidding ya mate. I'm only going through it for two reasons,

1. I'm sick of driving past it by myself and not being able to go thorugh it of fear of getting stuck.

2. I enjoy getting stuck in the thick stuff.

Ok well i'm going to be doing a reccy this weekend on our track all the way through to the lost city.

Should be bout 50 odd km's. Few things i wanna check out are is how everything is graded and if there are still some challenges for the experianced guys.

Croz, Wouldnt mind trying the track you mentioned from Lyell to Lithgow I think you mentioned. Where does it start and finish?

Dude, Thats probably one you need to be shown, as you have to find the head in the maze of forestry trails in Lisdale forest, but if you want to try just head through the state forest till you hit power lines and then follow them towards Lyell (away from the power station). Watch these trails if its been raining... quite steep and rocky.

Looked to me last time I was at the lost city that the rock crawl down to the actual pagodas had been closed by the greenies. Someone tried to cut them back in but dont know how successful they were.

Add Owen R-X-Cist in his Pathfollower to that list.

Might suggest we get a PM going of mobile numbers, Ill PM you mine now, when everyone else does so send em round.

Bring a copy to the trip for me.... but I don't think I will be doing the sorts of things I used to do with Ferocious mate.

Am going to try and get a camera mount for my car....

Still looking for a navigator... none of my mates want to come with me any more.

looks like i will have the lift in time for our trip. hope the tyres cope ok cause they should be next.

doing the full lift with TJM including shocks and the works. decided to keep original tor bars in though. Hoping to get two inches. It costs a bloody fortune so it better be worth it.

was quoted 800 for a two inch body lift. Might have to resort to doing it myself. bit of a worry with the bullbar and all.

anyway, looking forward to checking out some of the rigs on our trip....

Well... having a shocker with the Disco at the moment.

Car went in to have the noises coming from the power steering fixed last week and this is what has happened since:

- Got the car back Wednesday... 2 hours after pick up the noises returned worst than ever.

- Get to the car Thursday morning - someone keyed the drivers side quarter.

- Saturday morning ABS and Traction Control packed it in.

- Get to the car Sunday morning and someone has smashed the passenger side mirror.

So my warranty runs out on Wednesday and the vehicle is going in to be fixed again on Friday.

Hopefully the car wont blow up or something before the tip and I will be able to go.

Paul mate i really feel for you.

Bloody wankers got nothing better to do than destroy someones property. They're usually jealous that they dont have to brains or ability to aquire a fourby of their own. So they feel better by messing someone else's.

Anyway, i hope you get everything fixed ok cause it would be good to meet you at the trip.

Lost City?

Post by Rich »

Hi Fella's,
I'm just curious about this trip, are you going to the lost City. I've heard about it but don't know much about what's there?
I'd love to come, but getting from Newcastle to Lithgow by 8 am, and then driving back that night would just be too much on the little Roza ( and me I think).
Would love to get a bullbar for the Roza also, anyone got one?
Rich.

Good luck in finding an OE Feroza bullbar from an Aftermarket firm !!!

ARB - I got the last winch bar ever made for a Feroza
TJM - No longer stock them......but may makle one if you pay lots of money

The only place you might be lucky to find one is at a Feroza wrecker somewhere.......but don't hold your breath.....'cause you might turn BLUE ;)
