Imported 45s 2F,is there such a thing

Post by 4sum4 »

Just looked at a 81 45s 2F Landcruiser wich was in pretty smick condition with only 76 000K`s and he mentioned that it origanly came Canada to Japan (or the other way around)before it got to a car yard in QLD Just wondreing if this is true and if anything would be differant ,not clued up on the 45s but it had Power steering and air conditioning and it was also style side wich I think is pretty rare.
apart from that it is in mint condition for a truck thats lived at Harvy Bay nearly all its life

I bought a late 81 45 series troopy (think it was 11/81) with a 2f and it had power steering standard, still drum brakes all round though.
Disc brakes on the front came along in either late 82 or early 83 from memory and 45's had power steering till the end of production. 47's never had power steering due to clearance problems with the diesel engine.
The utes were freely available up until the 75 series came out in 85.
2F powered utes would be relatively scarce as diesel was the preferred power source for work vehicles.
If it has an toyota/aussie compliance plate then it probably came here straight from Japan, not via Canada.
