rear diff shock mounts

Post by ludacris »

Has anyone cut the lower rear shock mounts off and rewelded them higher on the diff. If so did you get shorter shocks to keep the articulation and how do you measure it up.CHEERS. Cris

We do it a couple times a week. We either roll the shocks over to 45 degrees or make a shock hoop that is higher than the original upper mounts. :D

Yes cut mine of raised them 3 inches and added bigger bump stops to limit up travel to stop the shocks from bottoming out then when they travel down i now have 3 inches more travel fitted some cone shaped pieces of pipe that i machined up inside the upper coil mounts so when the coils drop out they can remount in the same place as they go up the tapper
