Sorry fellas but i have to pull out.
Kind of a funny story, one which will stay with me for the rest of my 4b days, but ill tell it anyway.

Today me and 2 other cars went to Wattagans National park for some sunday morning 4wding.
All went well, nice and muddy on some parts, im sure most of you know the area.

Anyway, there was a hole in the ground, about 3 car lengths long and 2 wide. Half of it was filled with murky water. After going through some amazing mud sections on the track and passing them without a problem, i considered myself invinsible!

Anyway i didnt even bother to check the depth of this crater before i plunged in.
I tacked it on 2nd low range, only to find that my nose has dipped in and surpise surprise water was creeping into the cabin :x

I CB'd my mate with the winch for help and he was there in about 5 minutes.

By that time the cabin had filled up enough to cover my pedals and to the bottom of the seats.

Engine died, but fortunatly the carby was dry

We got it started again and drained most of the pathfinder river out, and headed back home.

Now the bugger wont idle properly, the gears feel terribly wrong and i have stripped her down to her panties.

If i get her back up to speed by the weekend i will give you a call Jason.

Croz, begin laughing. ;)

Niiiiiice...

Reminds me of the bog hole Luke had to pull me from before our Alternators went blah (in the feroza that is).

Mind you I would have lifted up my skirt and tiptoed down the left in the disco myself... :D :D

Luke Luke Luke... that's what sickies are for my friend.... :finger:

Well, just took a trip to ARB and bought a nice shinny recovery point for the back of the Disco. :D

Had to leave in a hurry as I nearly left the car there for a 4 inch lift, bull bar & winch, some 35" centipedes and some guard cutting...

I am without a co-driver so if anyone is after a seat let me know. Will prolly see you at Richmond Maccas Croz.

As for recovery gear, I have a snatch strap and a shovel... thats it. Anyone have a chainsaw??? After that effort in the Wattagans I really want one around. I will ask my brother in law if he has one. Anyone got any chains?

He would never believe me.....has to learn everything the hard way.

just make sure that at least someone tells him he paid too much for it. He's as tight as a fish so that'll hurt his ego most.

Hey All,

Was a good fun day!

I came to work this morning but forgot to bring the fotos so they will have to go up later. There is some good video footage of the day from Chris and we had an interesting journey home along with Jabboo through a near blizzard on the Bells Line of Road!!

I will certainly put the fotos up asap, the Luxy getting snatched by me is on the video as well, cant remember how many shots there were of it in my camera tho... there might be one or two.

Those river crossings are good... to those that werent there would you believe as I went to drive out of the Cox'a river I was chasing a small Trout into the shallows... imagine its thoughts... hehe :D

More soon!

to everyone who was there
thanks for showing me a good time and teaching dave and I how its done.
bloody amazed at what my car could do.
Looking at the tracks and hills before I went up or down them thinking to myself there is no way i would be able to do that.
that drive home croz was quite an experience.

researching into that snorkle for sure now .... pod filter aint no good for water crossings or those water holes we went through.
need a body lift and suspension lift, removing the sway bar and going to try and keep off the right foot a little bit next time.. i almost shat myself a couple of times attempting a couple of those obstacles.

also anyone snap some photos of me ?

all i can say now is ...... whens the next one
