I don't think it would matter, so long as you had a tank with 100psi in it for the diff lock actuator thingy to work from. I know the arb compressor has two threaded holes for these to go into, so I guess if you've got a tank of somewhere to plumb them into the pressure line you shold be set.

you can use any compressor to activate air lockers. according to ARB's engineers you need an air tank to ensure fast actuation, other than that all you need is a handful of fittings from ENZED or Pirtek and a suitable air tank. a 1kg DCP fire extingusiher canister does the job.

thanks gyes that sounds good i didnt think that it matter.
a few 4wd stores where telling me that it did but i think that they just wanted more money out off me.

go to truck wreckers 20 buck for a nice size tank try and get a engine drive pump because they pump tyres way quicker than an elictric compressor :cool:

Hi,

Be carefull when using different compressors to operate air lockers, If you use any more than 100 PSI you risk damaging you Air locker, you can still use an endless air system that has a higher PSI for tyres etc, but you must place a smaller sub tank with a reg on it to bring the presure down to around 100 PSI.

thanks for the info bazz107 i have now got it fited i first email the head gye at arb to find out about warranty issue and he sad that it did not void my warranty as long i had a tank that would hold air in beween 85 and 115 psi and that i use the arb pressure switch that cuts the compressor off at the right pressure.
whitch superior engineering made up for me witch look great i will post a pic soon[/img]

Just use an ARB pressure switch to cut the compressor in and out and you can use any compressor then it only pumps to what the ARB copressor pumps to i have had that for 5 years now
If you can not get there in a 4wd its not worth looking at

No Worries,

The only problem with using the ARB pressure switch is that you limit the amount of pressure that can be used to pump up tyres and run air tools if you wish, especialy if you are running constant Air system like the one im currently making for my truck.

Just a thought
