Can anyone post a picture of the factory Toyota diff lock swithches??

I am not too fond of the ARB ones & my factory Mitsu one doesnt come with rear locker written on it.

I went to a Toyota dealer but they couldnt help me

I'll take a photo this weekend and post for you. Personally prefer the arb rocker switches myself

I was wanting to see what they looked like before I bought one. Actually I would need front & rear , are they the same or do they have writing on them.


BTW which Toyota models had fron t & rear lockers as standard, was it the Sahara & in all series????

My local Tojo dealer didnt know!, boy I wish dealers (all) would learn their product range...

Ian, here's the pic of the locker switch for you. Sorry it's a bit blurred, but my camera is playing up :x . The front and rear are on same switch. Basically push and twist to engage rear, then twist clockwise again to engage front and rear (ie can't engage front without rear.

1990 VX sahara. The factory lockers seems to be reasonably reliable, just slow to engage. only had the vehicle a month or so, so only had limited usage of the lockers, but probably prefer an air locker.

Yep thats thesame as my cruiser...they didnt change throughout the 80 series model.

yer i use to work and a L/C specilist and i saw to 80's come thou with the factory diff lock
little info
the houses are different
the are elec. there is a little elec. motor on the out side
you can only lock the front with the rear in.
work well
