ok, i have a 88 SWB GQ, and i got a 5 letre holden injected motor
and i have a marks kit to suit, i put it all together today and it was all going sweet, bolted motor in etc, and now i have a problem :(
got under it to bolt the bellhousing to the motor, and thought id just see what the clutch will feel like, so i pushed the clutch fork backwards as the slave cylinder would normally do, and felt the bearing slide along in the spacer, but the bearing only came into contact when the clutch fork is about a mm off the bellhousing, its as if the motor is too far away for the clutch fork to reach.............. ideas??

I ve just fitted an LT1 to a GQ,the info with the kit says to measure your bearing clearance and clutch finger height before fitting the engine.
It also says to make sure you have 10mm extra to allow for clutch wear.
Is the fork on the ball/pivot.
Is the fork still in the bearing carrier.
Swing it out and take some measurements.
