Also the blue dash light for highbeam dosent come on. And one of the ARB relays there is four of em mounted on a block R4 has two plugs coming out of it one plugs into R3 and the other plug with red/black wires isnt conneted to anything I have know idea what its for.I tested it with multimeter it puts out 12+ volts when the low beam is on.

A mate was discussing 80 Series headlight issues the other night and made the comment that they seemed to have negative switching. I'm not sure if this is right or it helps, but it may so I thought I'd post.
(I was in the middle of changing tyres so wasn't really paying attention!)

According to the ARB catalogue the part numbers for the outer (hi/low beam) and inner (hi beam) looms and lights are the same.Does the 80 series use the same lights as the 60 series?
$309.17 for the outer wiring loom & lightsif so how much does this ARB Headlight upgrade kit cost?
$250.94 for the inner wiring loom & lights

There is one socket in the loom that is a pickup for if you fit a 2nd loom for spotties. It has 2 terminals in the 1 socket
There is a plug / socket combination that needs to be plugged together for toyotas. This will fix the High beam light on ur dash.
I ran into troubles the other day installing the loom and it turned out the problem was the relays. All the relays have 5 pins but in 3 of the 4, only 4 pins are used. It is important that the different relay goes in the right spot.
I've forgotten the exact details but if you look at the serial no.s on all 4 relays, 1 will be different. This goes in the socket with the yellow sticker.
If you're not sure, ring the guys at the shop and they'll tell you which ser no. for which socket (Thats how I found out)
Also, I recall something in the instructions about an adapter plug for the 80 ser. Double check what that says too
Good luck
