Engine driven compressor for hilux
OK, so I have done a search and read most of the thread on this, and it seems like a Sanden or York/Yota compressor is the go, but I am wondering who has put one on a 2.8 diesel lux that already has air/steer. Could it be put under the p/s pump or fabbed to replace the tensioner pulley on the factory air belt?? Any ideas / pics would be appreciated.

Has this been finished yet? I cant see it working real well. There doesnt look to be enough belt wrap around the crank pully. The idler on the LHside of the engine(The added one not the factory one) If it were to be over closer to the Crank it would give a lot more belt wrap and then may work fine but the way it looks now im guessing it will slip especially if both compressors are running at once.
Was thinking of a setup like that, but tending towards under the p/s pump and using a longer belt because the p/s pump is it's own tensioner so if the compressor is fixed in place I wouldn't need another tensioner pulley. But seems as though it would still have enough belt on the 3 pulleys. Just have to build a bash plate for it.
