i did mine a year ago. use back off mq as its flat - no ugly bubble. $200 from archafield wreckers. simple cut and shut. cost me $1500 all up inc full respray, mod plates, increased third party ins, rear window glass (hens teeth) etc..

cheers bru

about how long did you make it the extra cab?
did you put any window's behind driver, passinger doors?
did you have to put new body mounts on chassy
i ended up with a rear cut with a half bubble

thanks for your reply

mine took roughly 3 weeks inc tray and full respray

windows are too hard to do factory looking (even if yo pay creative too much money it sill looks like a bastardised caravan!)

mine is too lonk and wastes room in the tray with a chassis chopped behind the shock mounts. don't make it any longer than 3" from the seat in the rear most position. mine is like a foot!

i put claw stickers up the side and you forget it dosen'tr have a window.

no new body mounts just look underneath ya truck ;)

the bubble looks fine if you put a snug fit roll bar! ;)

wagons are useless, if they had room to sleep like my falcon wagon they would rate. but they don't. so just cut it.

neck a beer walk up purposefully start the revolution and hear the 9" carving through an otherwise perfectly panel. worry about what you have done later. i survived

just do it.

(but then some are too soft to take an inch off their guards)

cheers

I remember a while back someone posted asking for someone to do a photo chop on their GQ wagon, which was done and the results were grouse. It did lead, from memory, to a few different options. I did a search and found this: http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... wtopic.php?
but the attachments have a red x so I dunno if it is the correct post.
