hi all,
just wanted to know what a second hand 2H is worth, say in poor, medium, and good condition, and what parts would be worth, eg if i was to part it out injector pump etc? any in put would be good

a fully reco about $2 - 3k depending on year

one took a while to sell at $2k here, 81 model, may not have sold

in bad condition, $500-700

injector pump could be worth as much as $500 if recently reco'd

I've seen a whole host of different prices.

Some for 2k and as high as 5k. For 5 I would hope it was a brand new crate engine.

12ht's go for anywhere up to 7.5k.

Just got my 2H rebuilt from scratch....after a nasty incident involving water..... too deep water too be exact :bad-words: :bad-words:
anything that looked a bit dodgy got the new stuff put in... new water pump, all the new cylinder sleeves were honed to match new pistons, head shaved and valve stems put in... all that guff. Can't remember all the rest.... but also got the injector pump reco'd, (needed new conrod) and injectors serviced
All up I spent
$3500 on engine rebuild
$1450 on injector pump and injectors.

The engine is still in parts in the garage ready to be put back together. Atleast I know that everything done to the engine is of quality work and that it'll last another lifetime of abuse..... just need to buy a snorkel now!!! :rofl: :rofl:

rang around for costs

second hand 2h $2200.00 to $2500.00 30days cover

gem-engine reco short motor $3500.00

gem-engine reco long motor $5500.00

so its time to strip or sell the cruiser & spend the money on the zook
