just getting my gen 3 mafless tuned. can get 30odd more kw's if i can run premimum, otherwise it will be a mission to tune too.

Last Christmas we drove from Brisbane to Adelaide and back. Dalby was the last place we saw Optimax. :shock: I recall seeing Premium in Bourke (possibly because I didn't expect it?) but don't recall it anywhere else. Thinking about it, I'd be surprised if it wasn't in Broken Hill, and we may have seen it in Cobar on the way home. My general impression was "don't rely on it."

u could always carry some octane booster as well, think u can get these from performance bike and car shops

Premium is available in Broken Hill but most vehicles have to fill up at Packsaddle or Menindee during the event so they carry octane boost.
