2 or 3" Body lift for Jimny

Post by roundcruiser »

:?: Hi All

Looking at a body lift for the jimny. Spoke to a guy who switched the lower & upper shims around and got a 2" raise without spending a dollar on parts. Do you guys reckon it's OK?
If not what's should I be specifying for a 2" raise? What's the added advantage of 3" raise in term of tyre size gain? I will be looking at a 2" suspension lift on top of that as there isn't any other options here in NZ apart from the OME route.
Cheers

Never heard of the shim swap, but I have a 3" body lift plus 4" suspension and have been very happy with the results. There's not a lot of room under the guards and this has improved things greatly - have been able to run 32"s.
DRS smells like a cat-food milkshake... and wet socks... and gorgonzola cheese... all whizzed up in a blender
