The problems with this:

(1) - you would need heaps of permits to store 5000l of diesel at a home and probably wouldn't be allowed to do this.

(2) - you would probably void your home insurance policy

(3) - the diesel would get bacterial growth before you could use it if you were just using it yourself - you would need to do 33000km at an average of 15L/100km to use 5000l - most people wouldn't do this in a year.

I've been running Biodiesel in my MK for months. the motor runs smoother and I get about 2kms more per litre. It is definately more labour intensive than I'd like to make but I've found many free sources of oil. The best bit is no more foul, poisonous black death spewing from my exhaust ;)
