I went through some water on the weekend that got deeper in one spot than i thought. After about 15 minutes later the Brake and Charge Light came on for about 10 secoonds. I've since driven nearly two hundreds km's and the light hasnt come back on. I also checked the battery charge and it was on 12.8 volts without the engine on and 14.8 volts with the engine running.

Is it possible that some dirt or dust was the cause of the lights coming on and that it now might have fixed itself?

It does happen when going through deep water. I have had it happen numerous times. It doesnt seem to do any harm. Its like the water is short circuiting the charging system somehow.
