BTW I hate flat trays. they are really dumb.

Though in micks case he already has the wheel base.
Mick, even black perspex panels or something like that, you'd save a bit of weight.
I would tube the rear and then get some ally panels bent to shape for the rear corners.Cheap and easy...

Yep, that's the car.(the bottom one) Not much harder to do and WAAY cooler than some steeenkin' flatbed. Lower COG when loaded too. In the cars that I have messed around with trayback style, I have always ried to get the load at chassis rail height, tather than at the highest point the tyres reach as with a flatbed, especially as often these flatbeds have 2 feet of daylight between the load level and the chassis rails.

Grimbo I never really looked at your tray properly before it's pretty cool I like the idea cause it's still fairly practical
