If a shorty (SWB)... 2" suspension lift and 33" tyres. If they rub well you can then get the grinder out or else bodylift further. If not comfortable ask someone else.
3" if a LWB and same tyres. Will cost a little extra due to castor correction if you bother.
Unbolt swaybars front and rear
or at least get some extended swaybar links.
Yes, you can get beyond this amount of lift without dramas (if lucky), but it's not 100% guaranteed without problems or extra expense. Also it doesnt sound like chris is the most experienced 4wd modder there is so that should be enough to start with.
Try and make sure your rear shocks are about 700mm long extended... anything less will be robbing you a lot of travel unnecessarily.
To back it up - what have I just done with mine?
2" Suspension lift on a shorty, ditched the swaybars, 710mm long rear shockers. Net cost a few hours work - Dobinsons quote about $750 for parts off the top of my head, not that I used all their product but that should give you a ballpark figure.
Secondhand 33" swampers... POA
3" will be a similar price for just the springs and shocks.

There's a lot of places who can do this sort of lift for you.... most will charge about $1200 fitted for 3" and 2" will be about $1000.
If you're not sure... let them fit it and if there are problems it becomes their problem.
Having said that with 2" there will be almost no problems.
Even so I found one in that my bigger shocks were slightly too big for my left front shock tower but a little encouragement with a die grinder on the tower fixed that.
