Had a wreck... :(

Post by Joe S. »

hey again everyone from the USA!

been a while since my last post. just wanted to fill you in...

i had an accident and barely was able to convince the insurance guy not to total my sami! luckily i did. well i found a good front cap for nearly free, so i am gonna fix the truck and continue to drive it. in the meantime i found another sami to use as my dedicated trail rig. it has:
4.62 gears welded rear, EZ locker front
90 model fuel injection with TB spacer, under drive pulley, header
6" lift soon to be upgrade to jeep springs
31" swampers
exo cage tied to frame and interior cage
i will post pics as soon as i get it cleaned up and pic worthy...

hope everyone is ok

g'day
joe s

trail rig looks a bit like bigsteve's, just he doesn't have the tube...

how bad was the damage to ur other rig? can't tell in the pics, but just looks like a soft front hit... is it worse? if not, why'd they wanna total it?

no it isnt bad at all. that is why i wanted to keep it. not sure about there, but here these things hold their value about as well as a rust flake holds paint! according to the body shop there was about 3800 dollars worth of damage and the truck is worth about 2400! luckily i had the accessories and that helped in my plea! the accident was a caused from a guy pulling out in front of me. i was running about 30mph when i hit him. luckily i didnt have the flimsy stock front bumper on. it would have been MUCH worse! i have a front cap at home i am gonna install as soon as i get around tuit, so i can save the body shop from having to fool with it. :)
