Australian Land Rover parts suppliers, who are the cheapest?

Post by stephen »

General maintenance stuff, bushes, seals, bearings, clutch kits etc etc. I looked at the Paddockspares.com site after hearing good reports from a few people in Australia that had bought from them, and the difference in price to what at least I pay here is pretty huge including conversion and shipping.
Who are the cheapest Land Rover parts suppliers is Australia :?:
Who do people here use :?:

Thanks
Stephen

FWD motors in Fairfield Rd Fairfield, Brisbane are the importers for most LR parts coming into Australia, and supply almost all the other LR parts places (including dealers with series LR parts). They sell retail and will ship anywhere.

However, the price changes depending on who you talk to there, and sometimes the cheap aftermerket series parts (many parts not available genuine anymore) can be pretty poor quality. They stock genuine parts, but generally only when an aftermarket one isn't available or is lower quality than the genuine item.

Try Karcraft in Silverwater (Sydney) also. No personal experience but some good reports from the AULRO forum.

Rovacraft in WA, I know he's on the othert side of the country, but he's always shipping stuff all over Australia. Dave's bringing seatainers of gear in every second month.
I got all my gear from him when I rebuilt my Rangy & cheap.
He can usually give u a choice of at least 3 different aftermarket & of course landrover options on any given part.
I allways chose middle of the road [price ] when faced with that choice & my rangy's still goin strong, 4 years later.
Matter of fact the only factory part I fitted was the clutch.

BMI at Mulgrave NSW seem to be pretty keen on price and have a huge inventory.

I phoned them this morning about price and availability on TDi coolant expansion tank, pt. # PCF101590.
They only have 500 in stock.

I tend to buy mainly through Clive at Genpart, Mona Vale. Great service.
