have you only got 100'000km on your 85 bundy???

Mine just ticked over to 200'000 and it is an 88...you haven't been doing the old drill trick have you??

As for oil, I run sae 20-50. Brand, what ever is cheaper (call me tight arsed if you want).

mm there has been posts about this topic before.. (edit: on other boards ;))

its not magnetic, it just has some chemical thing in the oil that makes it 'stick' to the parts..

if I can come accross the article again, I will post it!

On my Petrol road car I use Mobil 1 (pretty dear at $55.00 per 5 litres), but previous vehicl history on this stuff is as follows;
Holden Astra 385,000 km without taking off the head. :D
Holden Commodore VN V6 - 430,000 km. Only engine work was oil changes & spark plugs. :D
Current Road Car - Nissan Pulsar - 200,000km & still nothing openned up (touch wood) :)

As for my other petrol vehicles I have not had a problem with Mobil Super XHP.

My 4wd Prado is a diesel, so in that I use Castrol GTD.

No the Commodore was good engine wise. If the body & gearbox had kept going, I would still have her today.
