Menai on CleanUp Aust Day

Post by Wooders »

Sunday 2nd March 2003 is Clean Up Australia Day.

As a Sydney Jeep Club trip we have the Menai Area booked. This is also being orgainised with the 4wdNSW&ACT Association, and will infact be the start of monthly cleanups of the area.

This will not only help our profile for the community, but will also help us retain access to the Menai area. We realise that there is a LOT to clean away (hence the ongoing cleanup), but this should be a good way to get the ball rolling.

I encourage all those that enjoy this area to register on this event to help our ongoing access.

The Cleanup Australia group and the Sutherland Council will be providing a Skip Bin (possibly 2) to assist. Also as an extra incentive, all participants will be put into a raffle draw for a range of prizes from the Council.

The meeting point will be Gate 8 at 8:30.
Please register with me (0413-138-550) preferably before Friday.

What to bring:
- Safe Footware
- Gloves (although I will be providing some - I'd recommend you bring good quality leather gloves).
- Lunch

Optional:
- Shovel, rake, etc
- Recovery Gear
- Trailer

Yes we should also get a chance to do some 4x4ing too

Perhaps I didn't make this clear - I'm not asking for SJC members or Jeepers - but anyone that wants to lend a hand :finger:

Let us know when the next monthly one happens and I'd be more than happy to help out..gotta keep these areas open.
