The 3 speed transmission output shaft usually has 10 splines. The 4 speed if mated to a one piece transfer, 16 splines. The 4 speed and 5 speed mated to the 40 or 60 split transfer, 19 splines.

So for the standard 40 and 60 series 4 and 5 speed manuel box, the 1 peice transfer has 16 splines?

The 5 speed is always mated to the split transfer, so the output is always 19 spline. But the 4 speed is either mated to the split or the one piece, so either 16 or 19 spline.
