You are ok mate - I will help you out here 151Kw is more like 206bhp
Basically
rangie classic 3.9 with 131Kw
discovery series 2 3.9 with 140kw (from memory)
I can't find the exact figures but I was pretty sure the 3.9 rangie
had 300Nm of torque the the disco being slightly more - I will have to look that up.
Rangie should be around 2100Kg unladen in stock form - mine is up to 2.3t with fuel and no driver
I agree your economy is better but having drive both I prefer the ride
and fit out of the rangie over the paj any day.
Tom

Well - talked about influence from the forum.
I just got back from buying a 1999 NL Escape, 3.5L 5sp with 150kms, FULL service history for 15k. Its in super tip top condition except the right rear bumber has a dint, which i will leave in for character (and cos i dont care about it).
Its was a 2 hour drive back so i forget a lot of the feratures, but heaps of electric stuff like windows and mirrors and alarm system, roof racks, lsd etc. Looks and drive just a new one
They are gonna get the 150km service on it and a detail i can pick up on Monday.
This one looks just like it http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales ... 9&dweb_id=
(edit) the car has this picture of a car outline on the dash with 4 wheels and each wheels has a green light - the front 2 wheels were flashing green while in 2h and slid green while in 4H - they said that whatever is needed to repair that properly would be repaired, and i am getting an inspection before i pay rest of cash - what could that be?
Also while i was there, they had a Ford Explorer XLT 2000 with 100kms on with full set of features, including electric seats and every other feature imaginable - i bought this too - if anyone wants a Dark Blue over silver current shape Ford Explorer, cheap, full service history, 100kms reg til March and RWC in MINT condition please pm or email me, it will be available on Tuesday down Mornington/Frankston way. Just like this one http://www.redbook.com.au/vehiclesearch ... y=FORD00AB (monday is out as i will be taking day off while i go through some puddles in my new Paj

Well done I think you will be happy.
The 4x4 dash light flashing is pretty common it means that either the front axle disconnect is not fully disconnected because it's either gunked up or one of the vacuum solenoids is not working properly. Could possibly be the detent switch itself on the disconnect either way it's usually fairly easy to trace and repair.
Now you can jump onto the Mitsi section
