So what sort of temps are you running now under heavy load? ie. heavy acceleration up long hill/range in 4th/5th?

Hey Trol

i wont be able to work this out unless i put a pyro meter in, maybe i'am wrong ?

the only reason why i didnt put one in at the moment was cost around $350 fitted (which is still quite reasonable price to pay)

however when funds allow i will put one in.

Thanks mate!

Not cheap are they the ol' gauges. Just had them put in mine and set me back a few $$$ for the pod as well. But it's the best thing to have, peace of mind!

Cheers.

Gday mate,

My UHF sits nicely on under the stereo, removed the original unit, fitted a pioneer mp3 wma deck with dual pre outs for sub etc with flip down screen and the uhf sits under that. I took out the recessed plastic bits holder as it was no use to me.

I guess it depends on what you want. I'd prefer that those sort of things are easy to see, but not easy to see for people looking into the car for their personal gain. Plus, it gives away your mods too easily! ;)

Cheers mate,

Chris.

yeh i agree with you there.... You dont want anyone seeing your mods.

in regards to UHF position i still factory Head unit, hoping to change to something later when funds allow.

I'm hoping to mount my UHF where your guages are.

cheers

You would never see those gauges when you need them.
Going up a steep hill, rutted, or greasy, you would have to spend too much time looking at the track concentrating to see the EGT.

Gday James,

I had a look at that, but I've transfered the uniden UHF with me that's pretty big, if you have one of those sexy new little units, you'll be laughing!

If you do have the larger sized uniden, you may have some issues fitting it behind, can't quite remember...

I actually wanted to use the cupholders to sit the gauges in, but it wasn't quite high enough, but the gauges would have sat in there perfectly with a small piece of clear pespex on top so I could still utilise the cup holders...

Good luck mate!

E.G.T's never get high enough to worry, even with the boost etc that I run, max is 550.

Nah mate, said that I'd rather keep the mods out of the way so when nasty people look into the truck to pick up for free and/or ya competitive mates, you don't have wanka gauges hanging off your pillar.
