VOTE 1 - TUFF TRUCK

Post by okz00k »

Competitor nominations are now open, here is what it says on the Tuff Truck site:
Australia’s premier offroad competition event, the Tuff Truck Challenge, has just announced the roll-out of the Nomination and Voting Procedures for the next event on April 15-17th 2005.

The voting procedure will operate largely as in previous years, with forms published in 4x4 Australia, and the nominated vehicles displayed on the Official Tuff Truck website at www.tufftruck.com.au

Big news for competitors this year is the announcement of a huge cash prize pool for winning competitors of over $25,000, making Tuff truck the richest offroad event in Australia - if not the world.

This incentive to perform should see competitors going harder than ever before. With big bucks at stake, the biggest, tuffest trucks will be dusted off and driven or trucked out to Milbrodale in April 2005.

Also available now on the Official Tuff Truck website are details of Spectator Entry Pricing, providing the opportunity to pre-pay for both entry and Meal Packages for a substantial saving.

So make certain your favoured competitor gets a start by getting your copy of 4x4 Australia magazine and getting your vote in. Vote 1 Tuff Truck - it’s the biggest show in town.

So who's up to it?

On the front page, there's a link titled "Competitor Nominations Open".. If you cant' see that, you may need to refresh the page.. Follow that link, then on the next page click the link titled "Click Here for the Nomination Form".. That'll take you to the nomination form you need to complete with driver details, navi details, vehicle details, etc..

We received two nominations in the first 12 hours. So far, Links and Cheezie are at the top of the candidates list.

Candidate postings start on http://tufftruck.com.au on Wednesday 6 Oct. From then on, candidates will be posted within 72 hours of reciept of the nomination fee.

4x4 Australia, 4WD Monthly and Overlander each have one wild card entry. None of them have yet disclosed how they will award their wild cards.

Voting forms will only be available in 4x4 Australia. Watch out for them in the next issue. We start counting the votes and posting them up on 1 November.

4WD MONTHLY isnt perfect, but its a heap better then the others!!!!

you might as well put voting forms in fast4s, or bloody who weekly!

TUFF TRUCK people??? whats doing??? the buyers of 4x4 australia arent the crowd i saw at the last tuff truck, especially the guys who had the tug-o-war in the crowd with the trucks! that was awesome value!

was just browsing the tuff truck website... some pretty stiff competition in there... Beebee's hilux, the overkill zook, the cheezy mobile, the beast dobbin engineering FJ45, and that offroad performance warehouse tubbed cruiser (which my smart money is on).
its sure going to be a h00t!!!

hopfully someone from OL gets the crown
indubitably
