Bundera - fix it or wreck it?

Post by turbo4t »

Got an '85 Petrol Bundera in fair condition with a little bit of panel damage and a broken windscreen. Not sure if it is going to be viable to fix and rego it then sell it, or if to just wreck it out. Can anyone tell me what they're worth whole or in parts?

what sort of damage are you talking? always easier to sell whole with rego unless you have time and space to wreck it.

any mods? a stocker 85 petrol bundy would only be worth $4K tops I'd reckon.

The car is a stocker with a cracked windscreen, a few badly bogged and painted dings, sagged R/H springs. The interior is pretty much perfect though, has low k's and mechanically great.

Time and space is not an issue for me, you'de know what I mean if you came over.

Wreck it and I'll buy the diffs if they 4.8's with the high pinion centre in the front, and coils.

I don't think any of the pettys came with 4.88's, only 4.56 or 4.3

if it has 4.56's Mad Cruiser might be interested in the reverse rotation front gears.

Only going by what I was told but some of the petrol bundy's with coil suspension came with 4.8 ratio's, and high pinion on the front axle.

Spoke to my mechanic today, said the last three high pinions he's got out of petty bundy's were 4.88 ratio.

Have you decided what your doin with it yet. How much would you want for the whole car.

G282 is 8" 4.30:1 2 spider open carrier.

the diff codes are decoded here http://www.off-road.com/tlc/faq/faq.txt and any number of other places - if you plug 'toyota axle code' into google you'll get a few. the codes work for all toyotas (possibly daihatsu too?) not just landcruisers.

cheers
