80 series ute conversion????

Post by charles »

this might be a dumb question but can an 80 series wagon be converted into a ute.

if so what are the pro's and con's of the conversion and will it cost more to insure and stuff like that.

is something like this a good thing to do, as I really need a ute.

Thanx in advance

Sure Can !!! What part of Oz are you in ? Up here in FNQ, it seems every 5th '60, '80, & GQ has had the chop, along with about 1 in 20 GU & 100.

There is one place up here that specialises in them.

I am in the ACT

Looking at the conversion cos the wagons are pretty cheap when compared to similarly modified cruiser utes, but I really don't know much so could be wrong on that, no idea on the conversion cost either.

you can call snow @ sumner park smash repairs (brisbane
4x4 conversion centre) on 07 3376 1744. he's cheaper
than creative. i've had a close look at his work and it's
pretty good. he's also a lot quicker than creative, with
the right amount of notice.
