Where to buy Surf parts

Post by auto_eng »

Where is the best place in Brissie/Sunshine coast to get parts for a 2.4 Surf.

After timing belt, and all filters. Was not sure if Repco and the likes sell the import stuff.

cheers

If it's the 2.4 (2lt) then the timing belt should be the same as for the Oz bundera's that had that engine, I've got a uni filter air filter for your surf I will almost give away, the oil filter is a z9 I think and the fuel filter could be easily be replaced with a cav filter so the replacement elements are only $5@ later on and not having to buy one of the same as is on it.

Most of the parts are all interchangable with the aussie imports, do not get sucked in to think that they are special and different!

A lot of places try to charge you heaps more because its a surf! (import).

If your talking engine parts always say 2.4L bundera.

I will have a look tonight at a old oil filter i have laying around, but i am certain that its NOT a Z9, i think it was a Z339 or something like that!

Anyway most of the stuff is available from Repco!

Timing belt for 2.4 turbo diesel P/No TO- 1356859106 (Toyota original) $44
Idler sub assy P/No TO- 1350554021 (Toyota original) $75.
I got these at Patterson Cheney in Dandenong (Melb)
The belt change takes approx 4-5 hrs to do yourself, not hard at all.
Cheers
