Post by STUMPY »

i want to relocate my fuel tank to where the spare tyre is kept if it'll fit. if you have done it, can you e-mail some pics of the mounting brackets.

I don't know if anyone on this list has done it, but if you sniff around the US sites you will find someone who relocated the existing tank to down the back in place of the spare. simply extended all fuel lines & sender wires, and put a longer filler tube on. Had to fab brackets and bashplate.

Not sure about the legalities of relocating the tank though.

Is it really getting in the road where it is?

it just hangs low and i'm getting a low profile tranny cross member. just thought it would be better to get some weight over the rear.

Think Dave runs his under the tray were the spare would be not sure how far out it would be if the back was still on but its definatly worth relocating
